In 2014, Andrew founded A&S Rebar, Inc to better serve his clients by supplying, manufacturing, and fabricating rebar and heavy construction materials. Certified by all New York public agencies, A&S Rebar offers a full suite of rebar and project management services, including estimating, detailing, fabrication, and delivery. As both a manufacturer and supplier, A&S Rebar helps clients meet M/DBE goals, offering 100% credit (compared to the usual 60% for distributors). With over 100 acres of land and a rail yard facility, A&S Rebar provides ample storage, staging areas, and direct delivery to project sites, ensuring an efficient, seamless process with steel sourced directly from the mill.
These two certified M/DBE firms work together and form a “One-Stop-Shop” in the steel industry. As a “One-Stop-Shop” clients purchase rebar, couplers, and other materials from A&S Rebar, and then Lashay’s Construction performs installation. This differentiates us from most other small and diverse businesses in the construction industry.
